National Biological Association for Students is a registered non profit instituted by the students for the student in the year 2005 with the main objective of creating awarenessamong the students community about the various opportunities availabal to them also to expose them to the latest developments in the field of biological Sciences by organizing seminar/ conferences/ Convention/ training programmes, popular lectures etc.Subsequently, recognizing the initative, All India Biotech Association affiliated the fledgling NBAS as its first student wing. NBAS is headquartered at Chennai and Mr. N. Shakthi Meyyappan was the founder President of the Student wing of All India Biotech Assciation.
NBAS will give student the opportunity to meet and learn from fellow student, as well as feculty member and professionals of eminence in the field. Activities of NBAS will offer numerous educational, technical and professional advantages through special projects, activities, mettings, tours and field trips.
OBJECTIVES:
The objectives of NBAS are as Follows:

To provide the opportunity to develop close relationship amongst the students and with executives, professionals aimed at acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary to produce the future laureates.

Creating and intimate, Professional, and High Quality environment that fosters learning, personal relationship and the acquisition of business skills.

Interacting and learning from people of eminence and successful entrepreneurs to inculcate the scientific temper and hence prepare the students for the future.

Organizing workshops, symposia, seminar, exhibitions, etc.

To provide a platform for the students of biology stream to articulate their points of view and nurture them as ambassadors to promots safe and appropriate deployment of Biotechnology and its products.

To collect, edit, print, publish and disseminate scientific material and data in Biotechnology and related areas that are of interest to the society and keep the students updated about the latest in biotechnology.

To Provide a social and professional Network for students.

Foster acquisition of skills and knowledge necessary to become future business leaders.
Andhra Pradesh Chapter of NBAS was established on February 01, 2009 during the inaugural session of BioAsia 2009: The Global Biobusiness Forum at Hyderabad. Within a short span of its inception, the AP Students wing has over 80 members and has organized various activities for the benefit of the student community including a regional Seminar, Industrial visits, a workshop, etc.

Student pursuing Undergraduate or Postgraduate studies in the field of Biological Science enrolled in an Indian University are eligible to avail membership. Students interested to become members of NBAS can kindly send the membership fee of Rs. 1000/- per annum in the form of Demand Draft (DD) in favour of " All Indaia Biotech Assocation - Southern Chapter".
