Membership
MEMBERSHIP PANELS-Membership can be sought under the following panels:
Panel I : Pharmaceuticals & Medical Equipments.
Panel II : Agriculture, Plantation, Horticulture, Floriculture, Agriculture, Tissue-culture etc. including Biofertilisers, Biopesticides and Biocontrol Agents.
Panel III : Hardware including Machinery, Equipment, Instruments etc. and Software.
Panel IV : Industrial Biotechnology Products and applications. A unit may seek primary membership under one panel and secondary membership under one or more other panels.Full annual membership subscription is to be paid for primary panel membership and 50% extra for each secondary panel membership.Admission fee will be,however, only for primary panel.
TYPES OF MEMBERSHIP
AIBA's membership comprises following categories
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERS
Any council or Commodity Board or any similar set up or sponsored by Government of India orTrade Association or a Chamber of Commerce or Banking Institution or any similar Organisation in total consonance withthe aims of the Society shall be eligible to become an Institutional Member of the Association.
ORDINARY MEMBERS
Any Indian company or firm which is engaged in Biotechnology as a profession, industry or trade conforming to theobjectives of the society will be eligible to become an Ordinary Member of the Association.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS
Any individual in India or any other countries engaged in Biotechnology as profession or involved in any aspect ofBiotechnology like Research, Promotion, Development etc. will be eligible to become Associate Member of Association.
